About DM HOLDING Piano Studio
A Paris studio built around methodical technique, musical interpretation, and performance habits that hold up under pressure—without turning lessons into a lecture.
Studio address

Clear expectations
Lessons focus on technique, musical understanding, and performance readiness. Results depend on practice consistency, level, and repertoire difficulty.
Why the studio was started
DM HOLDING Piano Studio was created in 2018 after noticing a recurring pattern in adult and teen piano education in Paris: many students could learn a piece, but not keep the progress stable from week to week. The issue was rarely motivation. It was usually a missing structure—no reliable practice loop, unclear priorities, and technical habits that worked only at slow tempo.
The studio approach aims to remove guesswork. We build a small set of repeatable behaviors: how to slow practice without drifting, how to use a metronome ladder, how to pick fingerings that do not collapse under pressure, and how to produce a consistent tone. Once those habits are in place, repertoire feels less like a series of lucky takes and more like something you can reproduce calmly.
Paris is a busy city; schedules are tight. That is why lessons are designed around compact assignments and measurable checkpoints. A practice plan should fit real weeks, not ideal weeks.
Studio method
Three pillars we return to
Technique
Touch, wrist mobility, finger independence, articulation, and voicing. We work with scales, arpeggios, and excerpt-based drills that map directly to repertoire.
Musicianship
Harmony awareness, phrasing, pedaling choices, and sound production. Musical decisions are explained in plain terms, then practiced until they feel automatic.
Practice design
A weekly plan with small, high-leverage tasks: segmenting, tempo ladders, rhythmic grouping, and short run-throughs to build performance stability.
Mission and values
The studio mission is simple: make piano progress predictable. Not fast, not flashy—predictable. We do that by focusing on evidence you can feel at the keyboard: steadier pulse, cleaner coordination, more reliable memory cues, and a tone you can shape intentionally.
Method over mood
Lessons are designed around repeatable actions: tempo ladders, small segments, and a consistent warm-up. A plan that works on a normal Paris weekday is more useful than a plan that requires perfect conditions.
Listening is a skill
We train active listening: balance between hands, voicing inside chords, pedal clarity, and phrasing that does not depend on luck. Musical decisions become concrete, then repeatable.
Transparent expectations
We avoid inflated promises. Progress varies with practice time, previous experience, and repertoire. The goal is steady improvement supported by clear feedback, not dramatic claims.
Our team
Lessons at DM HOLDING Piano Studio are delivered by a small team focused on the practical mechanics of piano playing: touch, timing, and interpretation. Each teacher follows the same studio structure while adapting repertoire, pacing, and assignments to the student’s level. Studio work takes place in Paris at 5 Rue Elzévir (75003), with online sessions offered when travel or schedule constraints make that more practical.
Resident Piano Instructor (Conservatory-trained)
This instructor has taught in Paris for 10+ years with a focus on technique building for adults and teens. Known for diagnosing tension quickly and translating it into small, concrete adjustments. Lessons often emphasize wrist alignment, finger substitution, and voicing so pieces remain stable at tempo.
Specialty areas: beginner foundations, returning adult players, tone production.
Music Literacy Coach (Theory & Sight-Reading)
With 8+ years of teaching experience, this coach focuses on reading fluency and rhythm clarity using short, repeatable drills. The approach keeps theory practical: intervals, harmony patterns, and counting strategies that immediately show up in repertoire and reduce hesitation.
Specialty areas: sight-reading routines, rhythm subdivision, harmonic awareness.
Performance Preparation Specialist (Recital Coaching)
This specialist has 12+ years of coaching experience centered on performance reliability. Sessions include pacing, memory cues, recovery strategies after slips, and structured run-throughs. Students preparing for a studio recital in Paris often add mock performance sessions to build calm repetition under pressure.
Specialty areas: performance run-throughs, stage habits, audition-style preparation.
Guest specialists
From time to time, the studio invites a guest specialist for focused workshops (for example: pedaling clarity, jazz-influenced harmony, or performance anxiety management techniques that stay practical). These sessions are optional and scheduled based on availability in Paris. Any guest involvement is clearly communicated when booking.
Where we teach
In-studio lessons take place at our Paris address: 5 Rue Elzévir, 75003 Paris, France. The location is chosen for practicality: a central studio setting that supports consistent weekly scheduling. Online lessons are offered for students who travel, have irregular work weeks, or prefer remote coaching while keeping the same structure and feedback quality.
If you are deciding between studio and online formats, the best indicator is not skill level; it is logistics. Studio lessons offer the most controlled sound and touch feedback, while online sessions work well for maintaining momentum and keeping practice accountable during busy weeks.
